Rev. Lameck Updates. Hongera saana Kaka

Greetings in Jesus name,

How are you?

We hope this letter finds you well. We were encouraged by a verse from (Mt 1:23 ) which says that “The virgin will be child and will give birth to a son and they will call him Immanuel” which means ‘God with us’.

Christmas is because of the Tender Mercy of our God, the birth of our Savior, is the real reason for Christmas, This is the reason we thank God for you and for our partnership in the gospel works in Tanzania . It is with such a great gratitude to God that we are where we are, remembering that it is by the grace of God.

This report has an objective of updating you on the things, that the Lord has been blessing us on this year.

Most of our ministry activities in Tanzania includes; Pastoral works in a poor suburb (Kisarawe area) and a voluntary youth works of scripture union Tanzania, The other activities are, Teaching the Bible in schools, This is in fulfilling the mission of preparing the young people to serve both the church and the nation and I mainly use the scripture union programs and the Tanzania Institute of Education programs, in classrooms teaching. More other activities which we have been doing are, evangelism and discipleship, expository teaching of the scriptures in churches (On invitation basis)

And the following are some of the stories which demonstrate the power of God in us on this year 2008:

-On this year, we continued serving the Lord whole heartedly, despite of all the difficulties and hardships.

-On this year, many people (Adults and young people) received Christ as their personal Lord and Savior through Lameck’s Preaching’s in churches around the country and Camps.

- On this year, Baptism services were conducted in Chanika (a poor area of Dar). This was possible because of Lameck’s ordination on 24th August 2008 .

- On this year, our daughter, Joy was baptized on 13th January 2008 by a friend, Bishop Jana Grin berg from St. Ann ’s’ church in the UK .

-On this year, Rev.L.Byonge was selected by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania, to Mark the Bible Knowledge (Christian Education) exams for the year 2008. The thing which to us, we count as a success.

-On this year, Rev. L. Byonge was enrolled for a postgraduate course in Church Leadership and management (PGDCLM) for a blended distance and short intensive meetings with Tumaini University in Tanzania .

-On this year, Rev. L.Byonge was ordained as a pastor in Dar es salaam , at Msasani Parish, on 24th of August. (PRAISE THE LORD!!)


NB:

Thank God with us for all these results and pray for God to keep all these people growing in Him.

Continue to pray for us that God will PROVIDE for us, in some crucial needs for our family, (Let us know if some of friends in your end will be willing to help us in some of the needs we have i.e. the need of a motor vehicle; The main objective of the car need is to be efficient and effective and successful in serving God and His people in Tanzania, Family needs, Also to simplify movements and to be mobile, when we have guests from abroad. This has proved to be very difficult without a means of transport.

We believe that the Lord will enable us in maintenances, Taxes and Fuel.

In order to buy a ministry vehicle to enhance my pastoral work, we wish to ask your prayer and financial support specifically for the vehicle.)

Napenda kuchukua Fursa hii Kumpongeza/Kukupongeza Dada na Rafiki yetu Faith Mmanywa kwa Hatua kubwa ya mafanikio uliyoifikia katika umri mdogo ulionao. Leo Dada yetu unaitwa Daktari wa Falsafa katika Mambo ya Kinga za mwili. Hilo Jina linalingana kabisa na kazi ya milongo kadha... Na hicho ndicho ulichokifanya japo katika kipindi kifupi saana. Kweli Binafsi namrudishia Mungu sifa na Utukufu kwa vile ambavyo amekushika na vile ulikuwa ukimpenda na kumshika katika masomo yako bila ya kutetereka wala kuwa na excuse yoyote katika huduma ya familia Bwana.
Kama ningekuwa paulo ningesema maneno yale yale kwa vita umevipiga, mwendo umeumaliza na imani umeilinda.
